The narrow medieval bridge where Bell Lane crosses the River Beult has been superseded by a modern bridge immediately to the south, from where this photograph is taken. It now leads nowhere, as thick vegetation at one end prevents further progress. It is easy to see how modern road traffic would not be able to cope when you see the photograph at Link
