The former Royal Doulton factory
The former Royal Doulton factory
This is the former Royal Doulton factory and offices in Lambeth High Street. It was one of the largest potteries in London and employed 200 people, had 14 kilns and had its own dock on the River Thames until 1913. The factory closed for good in the 1950s and moved to Stoke on Trent when the Clean Air Acts came in and the offices closed in 1971 and moved to Staffordshire.
