Earthworks and ditch
Bury Ditches is an ancient Iron Age hill fort dating from around 500BC, it is one of the best-preserved hill forts in the UK.
The fort is situated on the crown of a hill called Sunnyhill, 393 metres (1289 feet), and comprises up to four multi-vallate ditches and rampart banks, it also has two well preserved entrance ways.
The site is managed by the Forestry Commision England and is a short walk from a car park. The Shropshire Way and the Jack Mytton Way pass through the site.
