ST2325 : Railway bridges over Winckworth Way

taken 4 years ago, near to Taunton, Somerset, England

Railway bridges over Winckworth Way
Railway bridges over Winckworth Way
There are two bridges here. The nearer one is disused but formerly carried tracks into the Taunton station goods yard (now a housing estate). It bears a height limit of 7'0" which surely refers to the springing of the arch rather than its highest point, but what is unusual is that the height limit is painted over a 'children playing' sign.

The further bridge still carries the four tracks of the Great Western main line.
