Wynch Bridge
This suspension bridge crosses the River Tees below Low Force and carries a public footpath from Holwick to Bowlees.
Winch Bridge

Winch (sometimes spelled Wynch) Bridge is a grade 2 listed pedestrian suspension footbridge. The original bridge on the site was used by the Holwick lead miners to cross the River Tees to get to the mine at Little Eggleshope.
The original bridge was built in the mid-18th century; it collapsed in 1802.
The bridge was repaired but then replaced in 1830 with the current bridge. The Duke of Cleveland financed the building of the bridge but the miners paid for the maintenance. It was strengthened in 1992.
