NT1822 : Megget Water

taken 22 days ago, near to Meggethead, Scottish Borders, Scotland

Megget Water
Megget Water
Long spurs descend to the Megget from Cramalt Craig in the background. Megget Water is a major reservoir supplying Edinburgh, opening in the early 1980s. The foreground is a peaty plateau which I have yet to visit.
Very typical Southern Upland terrain other than the lack of forestry or wind farms.
