King's Cross Thameslink Station
The south east end of the closed King’s Cross Thameslink Station viewed from Platform A.
Trains ceased to call here on the 7th December 2007 with official closure effective from the 9th December 2007, but the tracks remain in use as part of the busy Thameslink ‘Core’ between King’s Cross St. Pancras and Blackfriars.
In the upper foreground is Leeke Street Bridge, national engineer’s reference MCL 24 (Moorgate to Carlton Junction Line, bridge number 24). Leeke Street Bridge is closed to vehicular traffic and is only available as a footbridge linking Wicklow Street and King’s Cross Road.
The 218 yard Clerkenwell No. 3 Tunnel is in the background.
