Pyllau plwm y Mwynglawdd / Minera lead mines [3]
Pyllau plwm y Mwynglawdd / Minera lead mines [3]
The remains of the crusher house, where large rocks were broken to separate out the lead ore. Lead mining in Minera was at its peak in the late 1700s after engineers solved the problematic flooding in the mine shafts. The mines closed in 1914, because of falling global prices for lead. The site is now a country park.
