Fenton Marl Pit
Fenton Marl Pit
This former marl (clay) pit is known by several names - Fenton Manor Quarry is another. It was landfilled and levelled and is now a large area of over 18 ha of rough grassland prone to flooding. It can be a good site for passage wading birds at migration times.
