An altar painting
It is quite unusual to see a painting occupy such an important place in church. The work is 'The Last Supper', by Oswald Moser (1874–1953) and is dated 1826; it was purchased in 1907 for the church by Lord Winterstoke. It is compared in style to Caravaggio, but the models were apparently unemployed people from the Chelsea embankment.
