Anstruther's new lifeboat
RNLB Robert and Catherine Steen (RNLI 13-47 ) is a Shannon Class All Weather Lifeboat and has been in service at Anstruther since the end of August 2024. It has replaced the ‘Kingdom of Fife’, a Mersey class lifeboat which was launched in 1991 and has come to the end of its operational life. The new boat is too large to fit inside the current lifeboat station, so a new building is planned.
