Church of St Leonard Hythe
Church of St Leonard Hythe
The Church of St Leonard in Hythe, Kent.
The two bays, four pairs of triforium arches and two of the three clerestory windows
of the north wall of the chancel, viewed from the south chancel aisle.
"Early English Gothic" style, constructed in about 1210, during the reign of King Henry the Third,
with restoration work carried out in the 19th century.
A special feature here at Hythe are the many exceedingly tall round columns,
constructed some of local Bethersden marble and some of Purbeck marble.
