taken 10 months ago, near to Durham, County Durham, England

The Shakespeare pub, Durham
The Shakespeare pub, Durham
Old pub on Saddler Street in the city centre. Lot of 18th century buildings along this street. The pub was originally called The Lord Nelson, but changed its name when a theatre opened behind it in 1792. This burnt down in 1869, but the pub retained its name to the present day.
