John Shaw Brown, linen manufacturer

John Shaw Brown was born in Waringston, Co. Down in 1822. He established linen mills at Donaghcloney and the St Ellen Works, Edenderry, Co Down. He died in Ragatz, Switzerland in 1887. Several members of his family are buried at Donaghcloney.
