This shows the position of the most northerly milestone on the Doncaster to Selby toll road in Brayton. One of just 3 set up on the west side of the A19. Nearly all the stones have the rectangular recess on each side but there is no evidence of an inscription on any of them. Grade II listed 1365809.
In another ½ mile there is a very updated tollhouse. This would have been at the end/start of the toll road.
