LSWR M7 class 0-4-4T 30127 (built 10/1911, withdrawn 11/1963 ) is on station pilot duties at Bournemouth West station. Bournemouth West is perhaps most remembered as being the traditional terminus of trains from Bath (and beyond) over the Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway. For a view of the station taken a few months previously, see: SZ0791 : Bournemouth West Station.
The station was closed completely in October 1965 and all services diverted to Bournemouth Central. No trace of it remains as the A338 Wessex Way southern ring road now runs through the site.
