Sassoon Drive, Trent Park
Trent Park House was until 2012 a campus of Middlesex University. Before that, between 1909 and 1939, it had been owned by the Sassoon family (related to Siegfied Sassoon, the noted First World War poet) and Sir Philip Sassoon was noted for his hospitality. This new road takes its name from him. After the university vacated the site it was acquired by the Berkeley Group who obtained permission to build 262 homes, a mixture of new builds and refurbished historic buildings, in 2017. The work is being undertaken in phases and these properties are already occupied but construction is still taking place elsewhere.
