Protesters helping to save river
The decision by Devon County Council to try to bulldoze the development to divert rivers Bovey and Teign came, despite fears over the damage to habitat, and concerns from the people of Teigngrace. After lots of protests, including a march to London John Prescott stepped in to help save the river.
