From Town Hall to Silver Street - Tamworth, Staffordshire
A view westwards on Market Street to its junction with Silver Street. Southwards Silver Street becomes Holloway with, on its eastern side, Tamworth Castle and Museum. Southwards again stands Lady Bridge crossing the River Tame. On the right Tamworth's TOOLBOX, the HSBC (Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation) Bank, the NatWest (National Westminster) Bank and the Market Vaults pub (public house). In recent years trade has ebbed away from Tamworth town centre following the building of the Jolly Sailor and the Ventura Retail Parks. Time photo taken 12.38 pm GMT (Greenwich Mean Time).
