This aisle is adjacent to the Presbytery (eastern end) of St Albans Cathedral on its southern side.
St Albans cathedral

An Anglican cathedral, on a site that dates back to the 3rd century CE when Saint Alban was martyred here. A church and later a Benedictine Abbey were erected on the site. Most of the present building dates from the 11th-14th centuries, but the abbey church only became a cathedral in 1877. Alban's shrine still forms the centrepiece of the cathedral.
