1967 Lotus Elan at the Coronation Celebration, Glinton

This Lotus Elan SE3 from 1967 was one of a number of classic cars on display at Glinton's Coronation Celebration for His Majesty King Charles III in May 2023. According to the owner's information, it is equipped with a 1,557cc twin-cam engine capable of a top speed of 121 miles per hour and accelerating from zero to 60 miles per hour in 6.5 seconds. This vehicle cost £1,759 when new in 1967; adjusted for inflation, this was equivalent to £26,148 at March 2023 prices.
