Sound system culture, 56b Lozells Road
This mural is based on a photo taken in 1983 by Vanley Burke, of Siffa Sound System performing at Handsworth Carnival that year. "What is Handsworth and Lozells without sound system culture?", asks the artist Mr Bunny Bread of CreateNotDestroy. His mural forms part of Downlow, an art trail in the Lozells area, designed to promote community cohesion, culture and a collective voice. On Downlow, see the punch website LinkExternal link .
