The Coastal Path is climbing, soon to be above the beach at Howdiemont Sands. The rocks beside the route have been placed, possibly, to prevent vehicles leaving the route to be closer to the sea. The track is clearly motored over and there's access by road nearby with parking at Howdiemont Sands.
