SO6024 : Former engine shed, Ross on Wye

taken 5 years ago, near to Ross-on-Wye, County of Herefordshire, England

Former engine shed, Ross on Wye
Former engine shed, Ross on Wye
A closer view of the old engine shed at Ross on Wye, once part of a quite extensive cluster of railway buildings in the town. All are now gone, apart from the former goods shed and the old GWR bus garage. The station itself has been redeveloped as an industrial estate and only some iron railings remain. The old engine shed now houses a garden centre, and pictures of the engine shed in railway days adorn the walls inside.
