taken 6 years ago, near to Pattingham, Staffordshire, England

Nurton Brook meander east of Pattingham, Staffordshire
Nurton Brook meander east of Pattingham, Staffordshire
Looking downstream towards Great Moor. A very pleasant and secluded public footpath through pasture and woodland passes by here. Nurton Brook flows south, joins Black Brook, which in turn flows into Smestow Brook, then the River Stour, and the River Severn. This image shows the brook following a period of unusually warm dry spring weather. The underlying Triassic red sandstone is colours the soil.
