Mown lane through heather beside Soulgill Grain
Mown lanes in heather are common on moorland; they're usually cut around an area to be burned, acting then as a firebreak. This lane is different in that it's wider and much longer; it acts as a route for estate vehicles and extends a long way uphill behind the camera position. Hard-surfaced estate roads lie in the distance where there's also a shipping container which must act as a store.
