The Priory, Springfield Mount, Leeds
This is not the oldest building in this part of Leeds, by any means, dating only from 1908-1928. But it was designed by the outstanding architects Temple and Leslie Moore and is grade II* listed (list entry 1256039). It was originally a student hostel (the Priory of St Wilfrid) for members of the Community of the Resurrection at Mirfield who were studying in Leeds, but from 1976 became an adult education centre. It has since returned to its original name and function as student accommodation, though now without the religious emphasis.
Leeds University

One of the largest and best known of the "red brick" universities, the Leeds campus occupies a large site to the north and west of the city centre. The university was founded in 1904 and has a particularly strong reputation in science and engineering. Wikipedia entry: LinkExternal link ; official website LinkExternal link
