This Fordson E83W dropside truck, which was first registered in November 1952, was on display at the Maxey Classic Car and Bike Show in August 2021. The E83W range of 10cw light commercial vehicles were manufactured by the Ford Motor Company at its Dagenham plant between 1938 and 1957. They were equipped with a 1,172cc, four-cylinder engine with a three-speed gearbox. In addition to panel vans and dropside trucks, the E38W chassis was used as a base for a wide range of applications including mobile canteens and fire pumps (during the Second World War) and ice cream vans.
