Dry stone wall near Keldray
Dry stone wall near Keldray
The dry stone wall forms a field boundary and was probably built in Victorian times. A vertical join in an otherwise clear run of wall was usually an indication of a change of ownership or maintenance responsibility. The right hand section of the wall was the first to be constructed and the two different qualities of workmanship on this section may indicate that the wall has had a subsequent repair by the local farmer.
