Helwick Lightship, Swansea - anchor winch
Light Vessel 91, also known as the Helwick Lightship, was built in 1937 by Philip and Son of Dartmouth. It is now preserved alongside the National Waterfront Museum in Swansea, The vessel is not self-propelled but was towed to its working location and anchored in place. The vessel's diesel engines drove generators for the light and compressors to operate the fog horn and the anchor winch.
