Loch Ness

Loch Ness is one of Scotland's biggest lochs. At 23 miles long and more than a mile wide, it is the second largest by surface area. It is also the second deepest, at more than 200m at its deepest point. But if you measure it by the volume of water it holds, Loch Ness is the biggest loch of all.

The loch occupies part of the Great Glen, a fault line which crosses the Scottish highlands from Fort William to Inverness.

A mythical monster is said to live in the Loch Ness. But what would it feed on?
