The lines on the block on the extreme left of the photo are the outlines of the planks of wood used as shuttering when the block was made.

Writing cast into the blocks in this area suggest that the troops who made them included soldiers of the 1st Polish Army Corps and 150 Company of the Auxiliary Military Pioneer Corps.
