Boulmer Volunteer Rescue Service and Coastguard Cottages
Boulmer Volunteer Rescue Service is an independent lifeboat service by Boulmer Beach. Starten in 1825, with funding from the Duke of Northumberland, the station ceased to be operated by the RNLI in 1967, with the volunteer force taking over in its place.
Coastguard Cottages, on the right, are marked on the 1897 1:2,500 map but not on the 1895 edition, suggesting a late 19th Century building date.
