The Jubilee Fountain
The red granite monument is inscribed on one side "Diamond Jubilee 1897", for the original dedication, and "Victoria 1837-1901" (which was obviously added later).

The fountain is fed from a natural borehole directly below the fountain, and is drilled 83m down to the Ferriby chalk formation below the Devensian glaciofluvial deposits.
