Kong's is a very popular chippie that has been open since 1974 before which it was a laundry.
The shop next door has been home to a number of short-lived businesses in recent years including "The Selling Room" that rented out washing machines, a florist that opened and closed within a fortnight and "The Box Room", specialising in women's shoes. Then it became home to Combibo Tuition which offered sessions in mathematics and English at SAT/GCSE standard, and adult conversation sessions in both Spanish and English. Now it has become Aim High Private Tuition.
