NS5473 : Culvert on the burn

taken 5 years ago, near to Milngavie, East Dunbartonshire, Scotland

Culvert on the burn
Culvert on the burn
This un-named burn disappears into a culvert at this point. Old maps show that this tributary of the Craigdhu Burn originally turned south at this point before then heading east along in part a clearly engineered route until it reached the Craigdhu Burn about 600 metres away. It is likely that today its present-day culverted course is a different route to avoid it flowing under several more recent houses.
