taken 10 years ago, near to Patterdale, Cumbria, England

Plaque on bench beside the path to Boredale Hause
This plaque, on a bench beside the path between Patterdale and Boredale Hause, seems to date the bench 1897. Together with the 'VR', this suggests the bench was erected to mark the diamond jubilee of the reign of Queen Victoria. NY4016 : A Path Side Bench shows the location of the bench beside the path.
