Standing alone in the V of the junction with Gosford Street, despite the ongoing redevelopment of this part of Middlesbrough which leaves this building looking like an anachronism. The Players, apparently occupying most of the building, is described on its sign as a "lounge & kitchen", which could be yet another code for "pub".
