ST7759 : Taking a turn

taken 8 years ago, near to Hinton Charterhouse, Bath And North East Somerset, England

Taking a turn
Taking a turn
The shallow ditch visible in the middle of the image is an old anti-tank ditch, still surviving after the war. GHQ Stop Line Green encircled the important cities of Bristol and Bath, using pillboxes and these ditches to prevent Panzer movements had the Germans invaded. At this point in Hog Wood the ditch changed direction.
