Still standing, vacant and boarded up but almost hidden behind vegetation – quite a change since J2865 : Former Hilden national school (1) in July 2009.

Originally provided by the Barbours in the early 19th century, for the children of employees at Hilden Mill Link the present building dates from 1913. Later part of the State system and later still an integrated primary school. Now (October 2016) long since closed and boarded up.
