Seasonally flooded dune slacks, Coul Links
At this time of year the dune slacks are relatively dry, but are flooded in the winter. Together with Loch Fleet, just to the north, Coul Links is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) an international Special Protection Area (SPA) and Ramsar site, on account of its special species-rich dune habitat.
