The London Underground system is also known as the "Tube". It is the oldest underground system in the world, the first section dating from 1863. The present system has over 250 miles of track and 272 stations. There are 11 lines covering Greater London, Essex, Buckinghamshire & Hertfordshire. Nearly half the system is above ground.

Ealing Broadway is an National Rail and London Underground station in Ealing in west London. The station is located in Haven Green (B455), at the termination of The Broadway, and is in Travelcard Zone 3. The railway station dates from 1838 and the underground arrived in 1879.
National Rail services are provided at the four Great Western Main Line platforms by First Great Western and Heathrow Connect. London Underground provide services to the three District Line and the two Central Line platforms.
