TQ2850 : Liquid and Envy, RedhillThis building, designed by Andrew Mather, was the Odeon cinema from the late 1930s until 1975. Ian Nairn, in his Pevsner guide of 1961, describes it as "all glazed tiles, white above and black below, with sweeping rounded ends". After the cinema closed, the building was used successively by two nightclubs until 2011. The facade was finally demolished in December 2017. Planning permission was given for a residential development on the site offering 133 flats.
