taken 8 years ago, near to Skegby, Nottinghamshire, England

Looking toward the Skegby Trail
Looking toward the Skegby Trail

This is the point at which the Link Trail joins the Skegby Trail. To the left the Skegby trail heads toward Pleasley and to the right the trail heads toward Skegby and then on toward Sutton-in-Ashfield.

When these trails were working railways the area immediately ahead was known as Skegby Junction. Some 250m along the trail to the right there is a SK4961 : Bridge over the Skegby Trail.

Behind the viewpoint the Link Trail crosses SK4961 : Bridge over Buttery Lane before continuing on to join the Silverhill Trail, which is approximately 1.5km from here.

Note: the names of the various trails that make up the Phoenix Greenways have been derived from notice boards and a map produced by Derbyshire County Council:- LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link )
