SO8754 : Worcestershire Royal Hospital - Aconbury unit

On the right was a WRVS café that has now closed and been relocated to the new Oncology Centre. The big square block in the centre includes Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAHMS). The big block across the back is Aconbury East and this is about to undergo a major revamp to produce further ward spaces and be linked to the PFI hospital by a large bridge. Test borings for the bridge were undertaken on 18 and 19 December 2017. The chimney are on the Aconbury boiler house and I believe this is facing an uncertain future - one boiler is out of use and the fuel oil tanks that backed up the gas supply have been demolished.
