In July 2012 the premises on the corner of Edna Street and Market Street, next to the "yummy yummy" takeaway, housed a ladies-only gym SJ9494 : No Mirrors No Lycra No Men. Prior to that it was home to Quality First, furniture fitters. In April 2015 it was being used by Jonathan Reynolds as a campaign office SJ9494 : Labour Party campaign offices. After that it was used as a Community Hub SJ9494 : Hyde Community Hub but by April 2016 it was empty again SJ9494 : Empty Premises. Now it carries a sign saying it will reopen soon as a convenience store.
