Shawfair railway station, on the Borders Railway, is in the lower right corner. The new facility under construction at Millerhill will house the new fleet of Class 385 trains for Scotrail.

The East Coast Main Line can be seen in the top left corner, with a 'S' shaped spur leading down from that line to Millerhill depot.
