SU5980 : Pub garden of the Bull, Streatley Hill

taken 8 years ago, near to Streatley, West Berkshire, England

Pub garden of the Bull, Streatley Hill
Pub garden of the Bull, Streatley Hill
Legend has it that in 1440 a misbehaving monk and nun were buried under this yew tree. It's now the centrepiece of the garden of the Bull public house, which adjoins the pub car park. This pub features in Jerome K. Jerome's "Three Men in a Boat". Beyond the fence is Streatley Hill. LinkExternal link
