Geograph - photograph every grid square

This bird obligingly continued to do picturesque things in the air while I fumbled around in my camera bag for my 300mm lens, juggled the camera and two lenses, fitted the long lens and put the wide angle away, found the bird in the viewfinder, focussed on it, set the exposure, realised the shutter speed was too slow for such a long lens, set the exposure again and finally pushed the shutter release. Normally by the time I've done all that, the bird's got bored or gone away or died of old age.
