TF0622 : Hawthorn and Ivy

taken 11 years ago, near to Edenham, Lincolnshire, England

Hawthorn and Ivy
Hawthorn and Ivy
This hedge is around head height and although flail cut it is dense and flowers profusely, leading to a 50 metre solid bank of winter food for the birds. The Hawthorn haws will go first, they are more palatable than the Ivy, which is more fruitful.
